Kind Hearted Australia Ltd is proud to present the 'Kookoorniny' project, a transformative initiative aimed at addressing the urgent need for transitional housing for women and children fleeing domestic violence in Western Australia. 

With domestic violence continuing to be a prevalent issue affecting countless families, Kookoorniny seeks to provide a safe haven and comprehensive support services to empower survivors on their journey toward healing and independence.

Kookoorniny, meaning 'beautiful (to make oneself)' in the Noongar language, is a holistic, long-term transitional housing program designed to offer refuge, stability, and hope to women and their children escaping domestic & family violence. The project aims to establish a network of purpose-built transitional housing units strategically located across Western Australian communities, providing a safe and supportive environment for survivors to rebuild their lives.
